It took me more than 5 but less than 10 minutes to solve - and not because I'm that smart, but because the "pre-school children" clue kept eliminating my theories on how the numbers were related. And then the damn programers could solve it in an hour? Probably by not understanding the relationship but by mapping, blind. Interesting ...

Got it in about a minute and a half. I guess that makes me toddler level.

After long and careful consideration of the facts and evidence before me I am forced to the inescapable conclusion that, whatever we have previously been led to believe, by person or persons unnamed and of questionable authority, you do indeed smell of poo.
