Re: In the Lady's Shadow 2.0 (IC)
When breakfast is squared away, the warriors of the hall begin searching for their armor, discarded unceremoniously the night before.
"The day's battle begins soon," Nilis' betting partner from last night says to your group. "The thinkers can tell you of world-doors, unless you prefer to stay and fight for glory."
He points out Davur and Abbica as being the thinkers in question.

Re: In the Lady's Shadow 2.0 (IC)
"Much as I would relish the chance to do battle by the side of King Grunar and his men, my friends and I have a pressing need to continue our journey, and I would not delay them merely to satisfy my selfish desire for glory." He looks over at the indicated 'thinkers' and sees Joshua in conversation with two people he had not noticed. "These World-Doors sound like just what we need..."

Dunn will go to Emfrid. "So, Butterlumps, what's your plan for today? I imagine the rest of us want to get back to Sigil, or wherever we're going. But I also imagine that you'd like to go a-thumping with the locals. I...am not inclined to go a-thumping myself. Whatever you want to do is fine with me, as always, but I'd like to know if you're staying here today or going with us, so I'll know if we need start looking for another person to guide us along the giant stairs."

Emfrid smirks. "Can't leave you unguided, Dunny. You'd topple the Spire."

We should come back here soonish, though, for a viking vacation. Lets go join the others and see what the plan is." Dunn will join the others, and ask what the plan is. "Are we taking Nilis and the Bastard back to Sigil to hide them, or are we going to keep running around for a while? Presumably, whoever caught Nilis the first time will want to do it again. I wouldn't mind checking in with home, to be sure, but my first concern is keeping Nilis safe." Emfrid will roll her eyes at Dunn's petty slights.

"Seems to me the stairway is the safest place for Gelon at least," Joshua says, "being between places and all."

Emfrid nods thoughtfully to Joshua's line of reasoning.
"Couldn't hurt to ear the dark on these 'world-doors,' though," Gelon chimes in. "Besides... Szass fancies himself a knowledgeable basher, but he's a green prime, surren. He wouldn't last a day in Sigil."

"There's none greener than the rotting," Joshua jokes to distract from the fact that Szass did not strike him as particularly clueless.

Re: In the Lady's Shadow 2.0 (IC)
Considering what the past day was like, Nilis' sleep is relatively undisturbed. The mead helps. Not being as experienced a drinker as some of the others in this group, she wakes up with a headache. And that is after she had been trying not to drink too much. It takes her a moment to remember that she is not still in The Titan's Pantry, but the sounds and smells of an Ysgardian mead-hall quickly remind her of her location. The tiefling seems to be someone who wakes up quickly, rather than staggering around half-awake for a long time. Once she's had some breakfast, Nilis quietly apologizes to Mellonion for her insensitivity the night before. Like others in this group, she also breaks out the spellbook, though in truth she had had precious little opportunity for spellcasting yesterday. Goatunit wrote: "The day's battle begins soon," Nilis' betting partner from last night says to your group. "The thinkers can tell you of world-doors, unless you prefer to stay and fight for glory."
He points out Davur and Abbica as being the thinkers in question. Ah yes, the 'skulkers' Emfrid had pointed out the night before! So they're 'thinkers' now, are they? Nilis thanks the Ysgardian for the information. "May your fights this day bring you victory." Thankfully free of intoxication (if not entirely from hangover), Nilis goes to meet these two skulkers/thinkers, though she sees that Joshua is chatting with one of them already. "You two are visitors to this hall, then?" That much seems obvious enough. (Can Nilis hear the conversation between Dunn and Emfrid?)

Re: In the Lady's Shadow 2.0 (IC)
Mel accepts Nilis' apology while reassuring her there is nothing to apologize for. He will head over with the rest of the group and discuss options.
"For the time being, it might be safest for Gelon and Nilis in an 'in-between' place, such as the stair, as Joshua suggests. However, longer term, we might consider where we are to go. We have a home in Sigil, and that would be a good place to get back to. Maybe we could head to the cabin in the outlands for a while? I don't really have a good sense of what would be safest, and, as such, am willing to go along with whatever the general consensus is."
