Okay, so it is 'living' crystal in a figurative sense, not crystal that is alive and potentially sentient.

It sounds like useful stuff for a weaponsmith. Roughly how valuable would an ork sized lump of living crystal be (in either sense of value)?

and useful for an alchemist too

a chunk this size would be very valuable, but then it is valuable as art too, and a piece of history.

plus, it is good for enchanting, so ... is it enchanted?

Not exactly. It does have a life, but it is not sapient. It is usually enchanted that gives it certain attributes of life. However, the enchantment usually needs to be renewed at certain intervals to keep it active.

I forgot none of you have any kind of creature lore

I'm not saying you cannot fight a skeorx, but to put it in some kind of context... it is worth 3500 legend points.

A wyvern is worth 600

ooc: The Werefrog know the Skeorix would just destroy the party.

If we tried to gather the crew to fight it, none who knew what it was would join us. The Werefrog double checked the stats, and it would just eat us alive.

Yes, it is quite nasty. We need to be at least 4th Circle before facing it.

Therefore, it would be prudent for some of you to talk Z'phir, who is ignorant of what the beast is, out of attacking it lest he die at First Circle.

Perhaps it will take a crew of NPC persuasion to persuade him out of the hunt.

Also, when we land next, wherever that is, perhaps there we could meet our new player. Who cares if it makes sense. He could attempt to steal from us.

no bonus for story telling? We actually spread our Legend among the people of that village.

(no emoticon expresses the pseudoplayfulness of the ocmplaint, perhaps the bonus will come later as we continue to tell our stories)

I feel your pain werefrog, once my group rescued some people trapped in a Kaer and all we asked was that they name their village after the group to spread our name.

But no.

Should left them locked in their Kaer...

ok, the Werefrog makes a good point

50 legend points for being the first outsiders those orks have ever seen and for the embellished tales they will eventually tell of their misinterpretation of your story.

I had considered giving my old character a cameo in the ruins, but it seemed pointlessly self indulgent.
