The man in black, overconfident in his invisibility, is caught completely offguard as Sigil's armblade cleaves through his torso, blood spattering on the deck. His body drops to the floor, still twitching from the arcing energy, silent surprise written across his face. The empty vial rolls out of his hand and across the blood-soaked deck.

The woman, seeing her companion fallen, snarls an epithet. "Foul machina! Feel the Traveler's wrath!"

A swift hand gesture and a crimson ray of blistering heat leaps from her finger at Sigil, but the bolt goes wide impacting on the deck mere inches from his head.
