Johnny English Reborn. No real improvement on the first one, some of the parts were pretty predictable, but I still enjoyed it.

Re: What have you watched recently?
Several things:
Drive - A good, dark, moody drama about an emotionally dead car geek who works in a garage as a mechanic, drives cars as a stuntman in movies and secretly moonlights as a getaway driver for robberies. He starts to grow a heart and things go terribly wrong.
Via Netflix Streaming: The Expendables - not too bad action flick starring several old guys and some younger guys. I will give Stallone credit, for being 65 years old, he looks damn good.
and
Fortysomething - a BBC comedy starring pre-house Hugh Laurie and a very young Benedict Cumberbatch, plus a bunch of other people. Mrs Memo and I watched this on a whim. Good, whacky, British comedic fun.

Robot - the first Tom Baker era Dr Who serial. Pretty good overall. For a Dr Who serial from that time period, the Robot costume looks pretty damn good - especially how mobile it was.
Listening to the commentary track was weird because it was the first time I had seen/listened to one where the actor that played the Doctor was actually on the commentary track.

Would this have something to do with the fact that that particular actor made it to the digital age where the previous ones did not?

Re: What have you watched recently?
The Captains. A documentary by William Shatner, he interviews Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Scott Bakula and Chris Pine about life before, during, and after Trek. It was shockingly honest and some of it made me tear up. Acting on television was rough for these people - with the exception of Brooks, all have been divorced and Kate Mulgrew was a single mom through her years on VOY. Patrick Stewart admitted that while he no longer felt guilt over putting his work before his family, which led to two failed marriages, he felt definite regret and probably always would.
Avery Brooks is a professor of theater at Princeton and a jazz pianist. The consummate artist, his interview was very trippy but entertaining to watch.

He is the oldest surviving doctor (at 78) and has been since about 1996. I really wish he would be part of the 50th anniversary, but I am not holding my breath.

Green Lantern. It was ok. The effects were good, but the sound mixer needs to be fired. You could barely hear the dialogue, and the action and music was way too loud. I kept having to go to max volume just to understand what people were saying.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (2011) I was really underwhelmed by the whole thing. I didn't think it had nearly the drama or the suspense that I feel those particular actors can bring.

Re: What have you watched recently?
Oops I forgot the we also watched "The woman in black" A scary movie with lots of mood and atmosphere, some shocks but very little gore. We liked it.
Daniel Radcliffe was good.
