I don't know why you put his name in spoiler tags. Literally the first scene of the movie before we even get to see the MIB agents is about him and includes his name.

Perhaps the over-enunciation is why we thought he was Tim Curry though.

Testees

eh. Some are funnier than others. But I am not a big fan of the 'watch scum of humanity get themselves into bad situations through their selfishness/stupidity' brand of humor. So more misses than hits for me...

First episode of the Gundam Unicorn Dub. First surprise: Hour-long episodes. Second Surprise: It's so pretty. So far, looks pretty awesome, and I can't wait to get into more.

... But I have to. Bah.

I watched the Tom Savini (1990ish?) shot-for-shot remake of Night Of The Living Dead. I liked it! And I rewatched Brick and Lock Stock... recently as well after reading through Fiasco.

I prefer Tom Savini's version, mainly because Barbara's not a useless idiot in that version. Also, she has the most thematically relevant line in the movie: "We could walk right past them", and it's really only the group's inability to work together that's preventing them from escaping. And that's what slow zombie movies are all about (fast zombie movies have a completely different focus).

We just watched Bruce and Lloyd: Out of Control, featuring the gadget-making geeks from the recent Get Smart movie, and with some overlap of personnel, notably one writer and producer (and of course some of the actors). The action is concurrent with the action of the Get Smart movie -- an interesting mental perspective.
I was prepared for it to be a cheesy second-take second-best, but it was a good quality movie, with plenty of good lines, good shots, and rise and fall of plot action, and well worth watching again.

I would actually say that it was not that great a movie, but it exceeded my expectations.

Forgot to post this:

Doctor Who: Kingdom of the Spiders (the last John Pertwee era serial)

So long John.
For the third time, I have gotten to the end of a Doctor's era and for the third time, the same thing happened: I wasn't fond of this doctor at first and then he grew on me and now that he is gone, I realize how much I liked him.

Before watching the Pertwee serials, I was not aware how long he was the doctor (5 seasons!) and how much the show changed when he took over the role. Besides the change to color and the change to shorter serials with fewer episodes per season, the show became much more about the doctor. Pertwee only ever really had one companion at a time, unlike previous doctors who always had at least two or more. (Yes, I know he had the "Unit Family" but they were not always in every episode, especially during the final two seasons).

It is also very apparent how much he aged during those five years. He looks pretty frail by the time of his last serial.

The serial itself is quite good, though if you have arachnophobia, you might want to think twice.

Just finished Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. I really enjoyed it. Very funny and hit all the slasher movie tropes. Good chainsaw fight to.
