- There are only ten episodes.

I would whole-heartedly agree, except for one thing. There seem to be events outside the castle walls (especially Harrenhall in this case) that are moving along quite rapidly. Yet, Tywin, who is leading the war effort for King's Landing, seems to be doing very little or have any real sense of urgency. That was one of my major problems with this last episode is how they just dropped, offhandedly, that Stannis was moving toward King's Landing and would be there soon. While there is plenty of tension amongst the characters, they've built very little tension on the war, which is supposedly going to come to a head in the next two episodes. So, now I have to ask, will the season finale be two-hours? honestly the war simply bored me, i was excited to see tyrions POV during it, but Dantos didn't interest me in the slightest. i tend to skim over things when i see a lot of names i wont need to remember for very long (ex: warships) and members of soon dead armies. the parts that interested me most in that book were all in the leading up to and after the war itself.

Great episode last night.....non-stop action.
Every now and again, it's good for the witty wordplay to take a backseat.

Re: HBO's A Game of Thrones
That was my favorite episode of the season so far. So many great character moments and so much great acting.
The final episode is rumored to be 70 minutes long. I'm so excited.

It was the first real fight we get to see on screen (and in the story for that matter) and I was glad to see them devote the full hour to it. While there's still one episode left to go, as far as I'm concerned the season is over. I'm hoping they actually release the DVDs at god damn Christmas this time and not make wait a year for that also. Torrents are fine for getting by on But I'd love to own a copy of the seasons to do a proper marathon on.
