Yudumbox reaches out and grasps the glowing jewel at the door's center. Metallic lids slide down over his eyes and he stands perfectly still. After several seconds, Mel calls his name. There is no response.

Morlan asks nobody in particular:

"Er... anyone know how long it takes to interface?"

Mel examines Box carefully.

"I don't have much knowledge of modron physiology, but he appears unhurt," he observes. After casting a look toward the corpses he amends his observation: "So far."

While they wait to see if there is any response from Box, Morlan will return to the barricaded door and listen for any sounds of demonic encroachment.

Box continues to stand stiffly at the door. Worried glances flit between various party members.

"Do you feel strong enough to contact Box? I don't want to move him physically if it might interrupt his... interface."

"I have it in me to do so...if I can." Yul looks thoughtfully at the contraption.
"I have not as of yet attempted to make contact with the modron....Obviously intelligent, but where that intelligence comes from has not been explained to me."
"My powers are weakening. making contact with minds is stil within my ability, but if it comes down to a fight, the kind of power I used against the half breed elf will not an option for me."

"Well give it a go if you can. He may be in trouble and in need of our help, but unable to communicate with us."
