No pictures, but I cooked up a batch of lumpia (filipino egg rolls.) The mad culinist in me used bold chunks of cabbage, carrots, green onions, and Blue and Gold sausage for the filling. Surprisingly tasty, even the full pinoy in the house like it. The condiment of choice was sugar cane vinegar that has pickled peppers and garlic in it.

A bacon cheeseburger with real class. If you ever find yourself near an E. J. Phair location at mealtime, go there and order yourself a Ewart. It's a good beef pattie, with thick-cut smoked bacon, grilled onions done to perfection, and brie. Absolutely delicious. Quite possibly the best burger I've ever had.

Not actually eating yet, but I'm just beginning the regular Sunday roast ritual. Chicken this week. The bird is in the oven. The roast potatoes and parsnips are on the hob simmering.

I love Sundays.
