Well, it looks like reintroducing yourself is the thing that all the cool kids are doing. Never let it be said that I never gave in to peer pressure!

My name's Joshua Burnett, and I live up in northern Ohio in a forgettable little town called Bellevue, about 20 minutes south of Cedar Point amusement park. I'm married to a multiclassed stripper/gamer who I met at an awful Vampire LARP. We have an eight-year-old son who knows who Cthulhu is, can tell the difference between Golden, Silver, and Modern-Age Flash, and draws me pictures of Bender.

I'm the assistant creative editor at Hex Games, which means I get to write, draw, edit, and do layout for a number of small-press RPG projects, and occasionally tell others to do it instead.

I'm currently in two different weekly game groups. My first group includes my wife and a couple of our long-time friends. Right now we're alternating between the "Zorceror of Zo" game I'm running and the "Pirates of the Spanish Main" game my friend is running. My other group is a bunch of neophyte gamers I collected at the local college. I'm running "Castles & Crusades" for them right now, but I'm getting ready to introduce them to some new systems.

I love Fear the Boot and I especially love their forum community! I don't even bother going to RPG.net any more for my gamer-talk fix.

Dude, that is awesome.

I would love to hear more about your job, what your duties and responsibilities are and if there's somewhere online I can see some of your work, that would be great! :D

Basically, when someone comes up with a new idea for a QAGS book (QAGS is Hex's core game), the Creative Director--Leighton "Don't Call Me Chief" Connor--and I decide if it's something we want to further develop. We decide which staffer or outside contacts we want to do art, layout, editing, and/or supplemental writing. It's also up to us to set deadlines and crack whips at people as needed.

I also function as the default in-house artist for Hex Games. I get first dibs on most of the new projects if I want to do illustrations or layout. I'm also responsible for putting together banner ads and other promotional material.

The best place to see my work is at http://www.jlhburnett.com
Thanks for your interest! :)
