Just because it's wrong on so many levels...

Watched the first six episodes of "Is this a Zombie?" anime on Hulu.

Gratuitous violence? Check.
Gratuitous fan service? Check.
Gratuitous awkwardness and abuse? Check.
Gratuitous chainsaws? Oh yeah!

What's not to like?

Finished up watching the last (fourth) season of ReBoot.

From now on I shall stop watching at the magnificent end of Season 3.
Yes, Season 4 answered some questions and tied up some loose threads, but did so by raising more questions than it answered, and pulling some other threads loose.
If you were thinking of getting the DVD set, go ahead and do so, but don't feel you have to watch season 4.

Just watched Meeting Evil the other night. Not bad, but not great, and certainly not what I was expecting from the trailer.

Runaway Jury. Sure is righteous indignation movie in here. Also, Gene Hackman is the only man who can say "I don't give a shit" and make it sound like "I just murdered your family."

Doctor Who: "Frontier in Space" John Pertwee Era serial.
It started out really well. Then it got a little muddled in the middle and the ending got screwed up by the director - the same director that screwed up the end of "Day of the Daleks."
The biggest shame about it is that it was Roger Delgado's (the original Master) last serial. They had planned to make one the following year and kill off the character (at Roger's request) but the actor was killed in a car accident. At the end of the serial, he just sort of disappears without any explanation. It happened because the director couldn't film the scene the way he wanted and tried to piece something together with editing.

Heh. That movie is very well done. It also drives me crazy on a bunch of issues, in part because I have a very different opinion on what it's actually about than a lot of other people do. (Harder to be more explicit without kicking the Coz in the junk and going "Neener, neener, neeeeeeener.")

Just finished the finale of The River. Wow! Much better than I anticipated. I watched it expecting an entertaining train wreck. I got a pretty decent horror show on TV built on all the best/worst tropes of reality TV.

I remember seeing the teasers/previews for this, but never followed up on it. When you say that you finished the finale, does that mean the series is over, complete, done? If so, I'd like to check it out. If there is more to come, I may just wait.
