 Cyberpunk Slang Game
I stole this idea from another forum. Person A comes up with a name for some cyberpunk slang then person B explains it and comes up with a new word.
Example. ---------------------------------- A) Hey what is a Choomba?
B) Oh Choomba is just a word for buddy or friend that those chromers use. What is a ________? -----------------------------------
Lets start with this one.
I heard some netrunners talking about "White Noise" but I couldn't understand them. What the hell is "White Noise"?

White noise is intrusion software that masks your presence by filling the data streams with garbage data.
During the last run, the rigger kept ranting about bliss sticks.

Ah - "bliss sticks" - better known to the rest of us as hand-held tasers. Noone is quite sure about the definitive route of this one but it seems to be either:
a) A sarcastic reference to the effects. b) A reference to a rather unsual side effect of the interaction with certain combinations of neural processor and reflex boost that result in ecstatic pleaseure when a user is brought into contact with certain oscillating frequencies of electronics.
What I really want to know, though, is what "Little Enids" are...

Oh, you've got to get some of those. You know those little radio-mike-and-treansmitter things, barely the size of an olive pit? You stick them in an olive or a cherry or whatever will go unobtrusively in a drink so you can monitor a conversation. Just like having a friendly nosy barmaid but safer.
But what in the net is a "cold fuzzy"?

Oh! You haven't heard about that new cold fusion smart cocktail? It keeps you warmed and spiked for hours with only a neligible amount of radiation. The stirrer is also a dosimeter!
While you're basking in the afterglow of your cold fuzzy, perhaps you can find my infinite razor?

 Re: Cyberpunk Slang Game
I'm surprised you can't see it from here. It's the sub orbital space elevator used to move people and stuff from the ground to the orbital hub station. Miles and miles tall from a distant it looks like a tall, thin chrome razor stretching into space no matter what angle you look at it from.
Have I shown you my new 'Hoop' plug I just got installed?

 Re: Cyberpunk Slang Game
You mean the "USB on Steroids" system for neural interfaces? Not only does it link up to anything modern, but the end is full of very smart nanites that'll crawl into even old tech, figure out what it does and create a UI for it on the fly. It's wonderful for linking up with your deck or a the smart sight on a rifle of course, but if you need to neurally interface with a 1990s CNC machine, or upload something from an external hard drive from the early 2000s directly to your brain it's the ONLY option.
So what's a "black vise" and why do I want one for my car?

A Black vise on your car -- it might be hard to install, but you could rig something. "Laser" Cruzer has one on his motorcycle, linking his temple implants to his brakes and acceleration so he gets better reaction time and can use his fingers to key other things while driving.
Or were you asking about Blackvice? I've heard of it but don't know what it is.

Trust me, you don't want to be on the receiving end. The blackvice (also known as the black device) is a pair of pain induction gauntlets tied to a biofeedback monitor and a freaking evil as sin AI and medical trauma suite. Some information extraction teams swear by them, but I wouldn't want to be in the same ZIP code as those bastards.
After their loving care, you'll be lucky if there's a enough neurons left for the mercy wagon to pick up.

 Re: Cyberpunk Slang Game
Oh the Mercy Wagon. At least the Mercy Wagon will pick you up from the scene and "try" to save you before auctioning off your cyberwear. The Meat Wagon wouldn't give you the courtesy.
So I was down the ripperdoc getting a tune up on my cyberarm and he said I really should get a "Gel Reaver" put in. I really couldn't understand his fancy technobabble. It might have been those stims I was on at the time.
