Re: Side Project Episode 10: The Return of Awesomeness
Still Done Listening GTA has 6 wanted stars, when you hit 6 the military comes after you. In GTA Vice City I was able to steal one of the tanks and garage it in my characters house. I take it out when I feel like going on a rampage I prefer to play, rather than GM. I've only gm'd a couple of one shots, and while I did enjoy them, I'm personally more of a follower than a leader. I even have an idea for a game setting that I'm kinda, sorta, not really working on, and what I usually think about it is that it would be really fun to play in. 121

OK, there's just surprisingly little activity compared to the average FTB episode.

Re: Side Project Episode 10: The Return of Awesomeness
Apparently the kind of listeners we attract aren't the "talk about your feelings" crowd. We tend to get a bit more buzz on our Facebook group, but all the same.
Based on the download numbers, the popularity of each show is pretty evident. MasterCast and Player's Edition are neck and neck. Player's Edition has more overall downloads because we produce more content, pure and simple. Side Projects tend to be lower numbers, but tend to engender more talk, which frankly was the goal of the Side Projects.
And while we don't have the rabid fanbase that Fear the Boot does, we have an equally diverse fanbase from all corners of the world.
But I think the more people like you post, the more other people will post. It's like in school: Everyone waits until that one person who is done with their test gets up to turn it in before getting up to turn theirs in.

I take it out when I feel like going on a rampage GTA San Andreas has a built in thing where it doesn't allow you to keep what you're not supposed to have. I stole a fighter jet once, managed to garage it, but it was gone after the next save. DrdPirateRoberts wrote: I prefer to play, rather than GM. As Nick will testify, I'm a total control freak. Which by default puts me into a leadership role. I also have the good luck to be a reasonably creative storyteller, which helps: If I were a control freak but sucked at GMing, I'm not sure what I would do. Probably not gaming. But whenever I play, I tend to play characters who are dominant, powerful, and frequently hard to get along with (there are exceptions to this, Nick, I know). Generally speaking, it's safer on my ego and on my relationships with those around me if I GM rather than play. DrdPirateRoberts wrote: 121 Excellent.

[Waves from the back of the room.] You just can't see me nodding in agreement while listening. Since you haven't said anything greviously wrong that I need to school you all on, I've been relatively quite. -- TAZ
