Lots of effects budget. I'll bet that's inversely proportional to quality of writing.
And whoever did that to an innocent Led Zeppelin song needs to die. Painfully. Over a period of DECADES.

Didn't fit with BSG in my mind, but definitely something I would listen to. On your other point, as long as they replaced the writers from the first one I'll give it a shot. God they knew how to ruin some good concepts.

I read this before I watched the trailer--I thought maybe Zeppelin was the new Hendrix for BSG--but that was awful, so I certainly hope not.

I love that cover of the Immigrant Song, which was originally for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. In fact, they kind copied the layout of the Dragon trailer for this BSG one.

Dammit. Guess I better get around to finishing that series.

I understand all the words but what you say makes no sense This could be my memory fading---I haven't watched BSG past season one in quite some time, but didn't they use Hendrix's version of All Along the Watchtower as a key plot device? [Maybe it was Dylan.]

 new syfy BSG prequel
All Along the Watchtower was written and initially performed by Bob Dylan. The iconic rendition of the song was performed by Jimi Hendrix on Electric Ladyland.
