 [Greatwyrm] has come online.
Hello, all. I'm a long-time FtB listener and finally joined the boards. I'd like to take a minute to tell you a little about myself.
I'm currently married and a father of two. Combined with the fact that I moved pretty far from anyone in my gaming group, that has pretty much killed my tabletop playing over the last few years. Since I moved to Michigan's upper peninsula, I've only been able to play at the D&D 4e release event and World Wide D&D Game Day '08 at Gnome Games in Green Bay.
That said, I'm still a gamer. I can't shake the need to roll dice and kill imaginary things.
I fill the void in my gaming life with WoW right now. Its not a bad game, but I probably wouldn't play if I didn't have so many of my real-life friends to play with. As I've told people before, WoW is the drug I take because I can't get the drug I want.
Over the years, I've played and GM'ed a ton of different systems. Still, I always seem to come back to D&D and Cyberpunk. I really enjoy GMing and I like to homebrew my own stuff. I always tried to include at least one homebrew critter in an adventure, even if it was a creative "skinning" of an existing one.
So, there's the short form version of me. My $0.02 worth, exact change only. Offer not valid in Puerto Rico. Actual results may vary.

Enlarged to show texture. Serving suggestion.
Said suggestion being that you serve pizza and Dew to the bears.
Upper Peninsula, huh? Proably a scary amount of my distant relatives there, it being a major emigration destination for Cousin Jacks...

So you're from South Canada, huh? Nice area up there. Been to SSM once. Probably should go back at some point under better circumstances. Can't guarantee we have the drug you seek, but we've got plenty to go around.

Welcome to the nuthouse. Sorry about all the weirdos.
Have you met any Yoopers yet? (He asks knowingly.)

Yoopers? Place is friggin' full of 'em. I'm just glad my son was born just across the border in Wisconsin.

 Re: [Greatwyrm] has come online.
Welcome to the boards! I'm sorry your so far from other players, but you can always comfort yourself amidst the feet of snow with some nice warm pasties! I used to live in Michigan, only the LP part. My family and many friends are still there. I've only been to the UP a couple of times and was a little depressed by the house trailers sitting on multi-acre lots and the limited number of telephone circuits available. I did love the pasties, though, so there's that! Honestly, I hope you enjoy the discussions here and who knows, you may find some gamers for the old fashioned face-to-face, dice-chuckin' gaming, again.
