Duncan would tell Tim about his weird ability to see auras. He would practice as much as he can with controlling that and any other stuff Claire can teach. He'd want to learn about paradox, mage history, etc. (which doesn't really need you to explain, unless it's different from the basic mage rulebook).

General questions for you would be basically what you indicated; current political climate, transposed and anything else you think we'd need to know, such as how big is the supernatural scene in Chicago? Are we talking a couple of vampires, a few werewolves and a handful of ghosts? Or thousands?

And I'll update my character and send it along.

Nah, pretty much the basic Mage book is all you need to know about how magic works in my world. As for the current supernatural political climate, at the moment it is a general uneasy peace going on right now, where-as before the Transposed started showing up, the supernatural world was about to declare war on itself, as a large base of vampires were elbowing into territory that the werewolves controlled, and the magical community was being forced to step in to stop them from turning Chicago into a blood bath, with all of the major Hunter conclaves ready to do a little genocide on all 3 communities.

Pre-Transposed, she suspected there were about 5,000 vampires, a little over 4,000 werewolves and ~500 Mages in the Chicagoland area (Chicagoland area being about an hour drive radius from the city itself), with the Hunter conclaves totalling around 1,000 normal human beings with the gear and skillset available to deal with any of the current supernatural threats. Post-Transposed, the population was decreased to the numbers Jacob mentioned, with her being the only active Hunter left (there are 3 retired Hunters in the area, but only one of them is even remotely capable of returning to active duty). She has been keeping count of the Transposed in the area, and with Tim and Duncan added to her count, there are a total of 73 Transposed to have shown up in the city that are either still hidden, dead, captured, or working on their own agenda.

According to Jacob and Claire, through their contacts it sounds as though this supernatural disappearance is nation-wide, if not a global occurrence. Her best guess on world-wide numbers had there being about 250,000 vampires, ~200,000 werewolves, about 50,000 Mages and about 400,000 Hunters, but only the top 5% of the Hunter conclaves had any sort of real political might. Now, there's maybe 5,000 Vampires, 3,000 Werewolves, ~100 Mages and ~700 Hunters left in the world, with Transposed totalling ~3,000.

She also mentions that the Transposed seem to have some sort of mystical power, unlike anything she's ever seen before. Her best way of describing this power is as though the Transposed had some sort of X-Men/superhero comic powers. She saw one briefly gain super-strength (to the point of lifting a steel girder beam off the ground with one hand), a second go completely invisible, and yet another have some sort of precognition.

So what's up with this seeing aura's thing?

Basically Duncan explains he can see 'auras' or shadowy shapes around people. Or are you asking what the ooc ability is?

The OOC meaning is that this 'aura sight' thing allows Duncan to see through basic/simple illusions or facades a supernatural person may put up to hide their appearance from mortals and other inexperienced supernatural people. A more complex illusion or facade will still keep a person hidden unless Duncan makes an active check to see if they are supernatural or not.
