I've started and waiting for the rest of, The Lost Fleet series by Jack Campbell. The first four are Dauntless, Fearless, Courageous, and Valiant. Not bad stuff at all. Fast reads.

For some reason, I thought it would be a great idea to spoil my appetite while making myself feel better about my free-range only rule. The Omnivore's DilemmaIt's a rare talent to be able to take a step back and look at the full range of implications of something so simple as buying a box of cereal at the grocery store and even moreso to make the science and logic behind it accessible.
