Post HBO's A Game of Thrones
I just heard about this, have I just missed it or is no one else interested? I thought the books (well, the first two, haven't read the 3rd yet) were pretty good. I'm not big on geek culture, so I'm not sure if this is some sort of dirty secret.

One of my friends is reckoning he'll spring for HBO, and various others are going to chip in and bring snacks and drinks while we watch it...

I might check it out when it comes to Netflixs if I hear good things about it.

I don't have HBO, but I'm still excited. I watched the first 14 minutes that HBO has up and was not disappointed (Here, if you're interested).

I'm excited. Alas, I don't have cable or satellite and wouldn't get HBO even if I did. So I'll have to wait until its on Netflix.

But Sean Bean as Eddard? I mean, talk about win.

Looks like it might be possible to rent individual episodes on amazon. They have eps of Carnivale and Deadwood available to rent (but, sadly, not buy)

I'm pretty stoked now. If not for the fact my schedule sucks and won't be able to watch it first run I'd get HBO. As soon as it hits Netflix I'll watch it.

HBO's website is FUCKING terrible at delivering streaming video. I'm on a faster-than-average connection, my computer is a tiny god, it should NOT be choppy as a serial killer on meth.

i'll let ya guys know how it is. anyone else going to watch it during the first run?

i got hbo mainly for boxing, so when a good show like this or true blood come along its just a bonus.

ive only read half the first book, before i got distracted and moved on to something else. i enjoyed what i read though, and ive met mr R.R. himself

i think the key to becoming a popular fantasy author is having two middle initials..
