 Pre-Con Gaming
Ok, so I got my room for March 14 - 20, and if I am allowed to quote the poem Kublai Khan, I am prepared to decree that it is the official Stately Pleasure-Dome of FtC4.
On my person I will have Savage Worlds Explorer Edition, AD&D 2nd Edition Core Rulebooks, WEG's Star Trek boardgame, Zombies!, Diplomacy, and Balderdash. I'll also probably bring my PC.
It's a smoking room, so that will happen. I'm willing to step out for the benefit of hanger-outers that can't handle it though. There will also be fonts of scotch and ever-full goblets of flowing bourbon. Those whose hearts desire beer might expect to find a six-pack of Natty Lights in the ice-filled sink, but they are just for decoration and if you get the Natty Splatties you can take that back to your own bathroom.
Anyone who needs to is welcome to stay the night with me, so long as they don't complain about dudes watching funny youtube videos and eating cheezits unto the wee hours.
You should also bring gifts of liquor, Dr Pepper, dice and many splendoured things to appease the gods of gaming. Because the gods will be watching, any women attending will be expected to dress modestly and pray for chastity and the victory of their menfolk in the various trials that will doubtless befall them in the various dungeons of terror to which they have resigned their fates.
Shirts-vs-Skins Magic: The Gathering Tournament is the first scheduled event, that's on the 14th when doors open (probably around 6pm or so).
Those who bring computers will be invited to play LAN games constantly.

 Re: Pre-Con Gaming
For the record, in the above post I overstated the planned level of debauchery for humorous effect. The reality is that I'd really like to do some board/computer/RP gaming with anyone who makes it in before the Con - and I'd like for everyone to consider my door always open. If you're staying at a different hotel and want to meet up with other Booters but don't want to just sit around in the hotel lobby hoping to see someone, you can always come introduce yourself and enjoy some gummi-bears and soda or whatever with me.
I'm also going to bring some movies and plan on having a movie party each night (assuming nothing more interesting is going down).
My cell is (662) 213-4278. I'm not grumpy when I'm woken up by friends, so don't be bashful about giving me a call at 4am to find out if people are still hanging out or if you can crash in my room for the night or whatever.

 Re: Pre-Con Gaming
I will be arriving the night of the 13th (My lady-friend the 14th) We will be available for random gaming at the hotel, or at the very least you can knock on the door and see if we're not busy. .... Seriously though. The only way you're gonna pry Promo cards from me is playing against us. There's also free dice to all players, and a chance to win vouchers for Monster Chest Production games! Feel free to check out my thread for more info!

 Re: Pre-Con Gaming
So what's everyone thinking about doing this week? I'm on spring break and I'm getting my license tomorrow so I'm looking for stuff to do. Since I live in the area, I know of some fun places and things to do. Just wondering what people were thinking about doing and on what days. Oops wrong thread, just clicked on the first one that said Pre-Con. XP

 Re: Pre-Con Gaming
I don't have any plans, really. Just hanging out and seeing what others are up to.

 Re: Pre-Con Gaming
I'll be arrive late on Wednesday and will need to find something to do for the majority of Thursday.
I shall be bringing Dominion, Race for the Galaxy, Small World and a small pile of Indie RPGs if anyone is interested.
I'm hoping that the hotel has a lounge/breakfast room that could be conscripted for a few games, but failing that, our room will also work.
We need some form of game gang sign that we can flash to each other... Of course wandering around with a board game or book under your arm will probably also suffice.

 Re: Pre-Con Gaming
For anyone in town on Tuesday Chad and I are talking about doing a Boardgame night. I particularly want to play Ravenloft with a full 5 person party.
