 [Portland, OR] Local Booter Meetup
So, I know that there at least 4 local booters who frequent the forums here. I think it's high time we meet up and have some fun.
How does the evening of January 14th (Friday) sound to everyone? If we're up for the traditional wings there's Fire on the Mountain over on Sandy. Alternatively, might I suggest one of my favorite local haunts, Slabtown (corner of NW Marshall and 16th). It's really close to several MAX and Bus stops for those of you without a car.
I suppose there's also Powell's and Ground Kontrol if we want to get a bit more stereotypical.
So, whatcha guys say?

Sounds awesome, but I don't think I can make that Friday. The next couple Saturdays (the 1st--which I realize doesn't work for most--and the 8th work really well for me).

Hmm. Saturdays are generally bad for me, as that's when my gaming group meets. How does later in the month look, Hansel?

My vote is for wings and I'm free pretty much anytime. One of the few benefits of being unemployed is exorbitant amounts of free time.

Later in the month is more likely. The problem right now is that my wife works overnight twice a week, which means I have two completely free evenings, but since we don't see each other during the week it's hard to make other evenings work (like Fridays).
Thankfully, she'll be done with that job in two weeks, so yeah, let's try to do this later in the month.

What evenings do you have free, Hansel? I think both Blue Note and I can work around your schedule pretty easily.

So have we actually pinned down a day on this yet? I would love to make it but I am trying to overcome a flu right now.

Looks like that's a no. Like I said, this Thursday works for me, but I'm not sure about anyone else.
