OK, so Fear the Bus is, I'm reliably informed, Not Happening. So, we need carpools, because some of us are Not Gonna Fly.

So here's what I'm thinking. Those of us needing carpools can post in the following format:
Location
Potential route
Have vehicle? Number of seats available?
Willing to drive (if you don't have a vehicle you consider suitable)?
Willing to have poolers drive their vehicle?


and then we can start to figure out how things can work out.

My details:

SF Bay Area.
Potential routes: I-40. Wife has vetoed going over Donner Pass in a 94 Volvo in March.

Have vehicle, realistically 2 seats available (assuming Gamer Luggage) possibly 3. 4 seats in a pinch but that assumes almost no luggage.

Willing to do the driving in shifts (yes, you guys would be allowed to drive my Brick!)

I remember Bear mentioning something about a convoy possibly in that thread. More than likely myself and my roommate will be using an alternative mode of travel as she refuses to fly and I ain't too keen on having airport security grabbing my junk without a nice dinner first, so we would be interested in this as well.

If I'm doing I-40, diverting through your area won't be a huge deal. I'll be blasting down the 5 on day one anyway.

just an fyi we're all the way down near San Diego.

Shoot. I'm starting to scout my flights, but that's straight past me. I could even offer a night's crash out and back.

I already know a couple dudes in Denver, but like I say, that one might be a no-go. I doubt my wife is thrilled at the prospect of me taking my car over the Sierras this far North in March, and I know I'm not enamoured with the idea.

I will be going from Memphis to St Louis via I-55. I'm not sure about which dates I'll be going yet, but I want to be there for all the pre- and post-con stuff too.

Dudes who will be passing through or near Memphis and want to 'pool are welcome to park at my place and ride the rest of the way with me, if so inclined.

Hmm, I'm still debating how I'll get up there, but I might drive it. Starting from DFW taking I-35 up through Oklahoma and then branch off at Oklahoma City on I-44 to St. Louis.
