In true Ben fashion, I'm just now getting around to [re]posting my introduction, after having posted in the forums themselves for several days already. Oh well.

Hi, my name's Ben, and I'm a gamer. [Hi, Ben.]

I've been playing RPGs just over 21 years now, having started back in 1987 or so. Unlike most gamers that I know, I did not grow up on D&D, but spent a great majority of my early years playing Cyberpunk 2020 and Vampire, with a couple of other games tossed in from time to time. About 2002 I hit a lull, and there was pretty much nothing going on as far as a regular game for quite a long time. This had mainly to do with the annoying way Real Life tends to intrude on one's spare time. It's only earlier this year that I've had a chance to get back into gaming on a regular basis, and I look back and can't believe how I got through the last 6 years without it.

In the intervening time, I spent a long time online on various game design forums, most notably The Forge. I managed to get some of my artwork in a couple of indie games, and I did a whole mess of character sheets (which in my opinion is technically the most important page in the book, as it's the one that everyone will be staring at the most).

Now I'm running 1 regular campaign, 1 semi-regular campaign, and am starting up a separate night specifically for one-shots and playtesting. Somewhere in the middle of all that I find time for a day job and some sleep (but these are secondary concerns, of course).
