I think I found a game. I'm not sure how often we will play, but I'm working on my character background now. My wife is planning on watching our first few sessions to see if she wants to play too. The g.m. runs a d&d 4th edition game. I have heard a lot of negative things about it. What is wrong with this system? Maybe, that is too big a question for the introduction threads.

Starting an edition wank in your own intro thread? I think you'll fit right in here. Welcome!

My go to response for 4e: it's too cookie cutter. Fun, but basically miniatures combat with some expanded rules for roleplaying.

Welcome to the forums, and as someone who likes 4e and doesn't feel it impedes roleplay at all, I think the system is fine. Then again, I played it with a group of 5 actors, so "rules for roleplay" was probably a foreign concept in general- stopping them from roleplaying would have been the real challenge ^.^
