 long sentenceThis is a simple game, but one with a finite life. The object is to form a long, grammatically correct sentence, that is not a run-on sentence or a string of sentences connected with "and"s. There can be no more than two modifiers (adjectives and adverbs) piled up together. The sentence must continue to make sense. I managed I think 32 words once.
The trick is, I'll start with a two-word sentence. You may add only one word at a time. It may be put in between any two other words, or at the beginning or at the end. First an example: Fish swim. I add: The fish swim. Someone adds: The fish must swim. And so it goes. Now, let's start with Dragons fly. |
