The funny thing for me is that I recently bought Memento Mori's Space Station which is now on sale for $.99. So, I guess I have the theme on the brain.

They're powered by Unobtanium ;)

What about the high octane plot injection system?

An unnecessary upgrade, considering the next-gen phlebotinum compressor implements a lot of those features without the pollution created by unused plot fumes ;)

Meh, all of y'all are making this needlessly complex. "It runs on plasma." Clear, yet utterly ambiguous. (Does that mean "star matter", "superheated steam", "blood"? All of the above? Were the plasma conduits on Picard's Enterprise really just channeling A- to vampires who made the ship fly?)

I really hope that's how the enterprise flew. The image of a bunch of B movie vampires shouting "Blah, Blah!" in the core of a starship is just way too entertaining. Plus, I think it'd destroy the physics community.

"Did you hear how the Enterprise kept running?"
"Warp engines, right? Fold the fabric of space to shorten interst-"
"Nope. Magic. Vampire magic."
"But..."
"Sparkle, sparkle."
