Re: Episode Seventy Five - Doug Talks Parsec
Thanks again, Runester. I actually listened to it (not because I expected it to be bad, but because I don't love listening to myself) and you did a great job. A friend of mine listened to the episode, and he never listens to podcasts and plays games but hates talking about rule systems, but he's now excited to get the book and read it (he's already a backer).

Doug, I'm not sure if you're reading this, but I saw on your Kickstarter page that you wanted to keep "Tagline of Adventure". I think that you are missing out on a great possibility... For some of the higher supporters, they can put in their own tagline (in a .pdf copy maybe... not sure how much single changes like that do to print runs).

I thought you came over very well. I loved your ideas about ship combat and about how equipment works especially. I'm very excited about reading this!

Re: Episode Seventy Five - Doug Talks Parsec
I'm normally not too terribly interested in hearing about the mechanics of systems (I like to know them when I'm playing, but generally have little interest in the abstract), but both Steve and Doug did a great job of being listenable and interesting while talking about potentially very dull stuff. So, hats off to both of you on making this a very enjoyable episode.

Re: Episode Seventy Five - Doug Talks Parsec
And I should clarify - when I mean "dull stuff", I mean talking about rules outside of an actual play setting...which, admittedly, many people find interesting, but I usually don't, so it is a sign of a well done interview that it kept my attention.

Re: Episode Seventy Five - Doug Talks Parsec
I backed this before the podcast, but I went from just showing support for indie sci-fi RPG game makers to actually being interested in seeing these mechanics in writing. -- TAZ

Re: Episode Seventy Five - Doug Talks Parsec
Interesting episode. Most of my initial thoughts come down to this: Parsec sounds fantastic.

Re: Episode Seventy Five - Doug Talks Parsec
This podcast actually helped convince my group to try the game when it comes out.
