I might be in at some point in the future. Skype name is ogreteeth (go figure). I'll try to keep tabs on the thread so I have a shot at joining the games. Maybe I'll see all y'all on the flipside!

Night of Carnage starts in about an hour. This particular NoC, I'm in the mood for more Team Fortress 2 if the group is okay with it.

Note: I'm expecting company around 9ish, so I'll most likely have to hop off after a couple of hours. But who knows, maybe I can convince my friend to play a game.

I might not be able to play tonight, one cause of company, and i also have a job interview tomorrow, so i need to be in bed at a reasonable time.

But if i am on, it will only be for a little bit.

Post Re: FtB: Night of Carnage| Discussion & Updates
Night of Carnage seems to be going through rough times as of late. For a while, we had a stable standard of Castle Wolfenstein, Tribes 2, and League of Legends. However, some members have stopped showing up, others have developed desires for different games, and newer players either can't or won't play the games others have. It's time to change things again.

First of all, Night of Carnage will be held every OTHER week to avoid burnout. This will alternate with Chad's Left4Dead Biweekly game. If need be, we can change it to a day other than Sunday. I'm not going to PM everyone about this, just post in the thread when you would want it.

Second, we need a new standard. We need something that doesn't take forever to download/install; it also needs to be something a lot of people would want to do.

Since Chad's L4D game was this week,Night of Carnage will continue next week. That's plenty of time to figure out what we're going to do. Any suggestions?

I nominate a biweekly roleplaying game hosted on MapTool. The virtual table top is on an 18MB .zip and the only installation needed is extracting the Zip folder. We can run one-shots or continuous campaigns, depending on what everyone wants.

You can download MapTool here.

At the time of this post, the latest version of MapTool on both PC and Mac is 1.3.b70.

I also dislike the idea of making it bi-weekly, since i look forward to playing with you guys every week. And i don't play l4d2, so I can't do that.

Also I think a few of us have it but, Diablo 2 (with or without expansion.) might be a good game to try and rotate in.

Post Re: FtB: Night of Carnage| Discussion & Updates
Dan suggested the biweekly schedule last night while we were playing WoW. He thought, and I agree, that burnout is a factor that must be considered. If that's not what the majority wants, then I won't force the change. Regardless, we won't be having Night of Carnage this week anyway. Considering how well last week went, I'm not betting on Night of Carnage in a fist fight with Independence Day.

Also, upon rereading Chad's post in his L4D thread, he said that he wanted to do this again in a couple of weeks, not that it would be every two weeks.

MY BAD!

Edit:

Yeah, I kind of miss Starcraft. The problem is that since we moved on to downloadable games, not everyone interested in Night of Carnage has Starcraft.
