Post DCU Online
So did anyone end up picking up DC Universe Online? I found it on sale for $20 yesterday and figured since I was curious about it anyway it would be the perfect time to try it out.

Some friends of mine were playing it. Not sure if they still are.

and I'm already done with it. Less than the time that comes with buying the game.

What were your complaints about the game?

I enjoyed the story and I enjoyed that the game was different. I had quite a few minor complaints but nothing that would kill the game at first. What finally did it for me though is that you only have 6 power slots on your bar for powers. I could have 20 powers, but I can only use 6 at any given time. You can't script access to the others and there are not other bars you can cycle through. You can set up a couple different profiles, but they cannot be swithed in combat. Basically that means you have to pick which of your powers you want to be using on your mission ahead of time. It was frustrating for me to have so many powers, but be unable to use them. That was the final nail in the coffin. I quite playing over two weeks ago and just got around to canceling my account today.

I played for a little while but gave up. I'm really not much of a gamer, so it was really hard for me to play. Controls weren't necessarily simple (holy crap flying was a pain in the ass) and many things about the game were very difficult to figure out.

Things I really liked: character building was great fun. Also, I liked that I could get new items but still keep the same look.

I started playing free and one week later put the money down for a legendary membership.
Light powers are cool.

Is anyone one playing on the PS3

Man that makes it hard. I want to try this game, but City of hero is so awesome (if it's still around) and done pretty well. I saw the game and it looks great, but I didn't get to play.
