 EVERQUEST
Ok...so I've just returned to EQ yesterday...and I had a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to going through some of the zones I used to play in...my question is...
Does anyone here play EQ and if so maybe we could play together or something.

And I can say that no other MMO has really grab my attention, and after playing it again, I can see why I loved it/love it still. Now that's not to say that if I put as much time into another MMO that I wouldn't like that one, but as it is, I don't have that type of time to re-invest into something of that magnitude.

 Re: EVERQUEST
I enjoyed EQ. I could never go back, because I've gotten too spoiled by the gentler leveling curves of more modern MMOs. But I had a lot of fun back then.
Did you ever play EQ2, Iskoot?

 Re: EVERQUEST
No I haven't...and I don't think I can bring myself to play any other MMO...though that may change <shrugs> who knows. But I have so many emotions and memories tied into my character in EQ that abandoning him would be like abandoning my own child. Of course if SOE was to ever close down ALL EQ servers then maybe a few years after that I can see myself turning to a new MMO, but until that happens, EQ it is for me. Just for some stats, I've played my character Iskoot for probably over a year and only ever got to lvl 51 with him. I know that's not high, but that was 51 levels of pure fun with some of the best people I knew and still know. And back then levels weren't something that just grew on trees, (I've heard that a person can get to lvl 50+ now in 1-2 weeks of playing 2-3 hours a day). So anyways, yeah...sorry for the long post...but you can see my character here= http://eqplayers.station.sony.com/character_profile.vm?characterId=554050782781

 Re: EVERQUEST
How much is the monthly cost for EQ1? I used to play EQ2, but stopped because sony kept changing the game rules every year or so (and lets not mention all the whole from such changes).

 Re: EVERQUEST
14.99 a month. And they have it so that you can buy ALL the expansions right now for, I think either 29.99 or 39.99. But yeah they also have the first month free thing going on for new accounts. That being said, you should give it a run, EQ now is different then it was back then, but at the same time it's the same. And I think it's still fun.
EDIT: Also they are starting a new progression server pretty soon, so if you join when that starts, you'll be at the same lvl as everyone else =)

 Re: EVERQUEST
Nevermind then, I am willing to pay that much for a recent MMO, but not for one that old. I was thinking it would be about 5-10 dollars since they aren't coming out with new content any more.
