 Re: It happened yesterday.
So apparently, the following bands are ALSO now considered classic rock by the station I listen to at work: Audioslave Stone Temple Pilots Soul Asylum
I mean, am I really that old?

 Re: It happened yesterday.
Audioslave started in 2001. That's more than a decade ago.
Is the station actually listing itself as Classic Rock (60s to 80s), or are they a General Rock station that has tended to play older bands? Station formats are pretty specific.

They say they are classic rock. They brodcast Alice Cooper's "Nights with Alice" radio program in the evenings, but these bands were played earlier in the day during drive time.

 Re: It happened yesterday.
I don't see 10 years enough time to constituent it classic rock. I just don't.

 Re: It happened yesterday.
The technical definition of that format says the 60s through the 80s is Classic Rock, and anything later than that is Rock. They may be both a Classic Rock and a Rock station (which is to say, it has two formats), or they may be purely Rock and have a heavy Classic Rock presence for whatever reason.
That said, their advertising is at least not specific, or self-contradictory. But that's radio for you.
