Re: Covers that beat the Originals I was telling my wife about this thread and she reminded me that I need to bring up Renegades of Funk. The Rage Against the Machine cover is both more famous and much better. For comparison, I have included the original Afrika Bombaataa video from 1983.

Re: Covers that beat the Originals Alot of artists have covered Antonio Carlos (Tom) Jobim's classic "Waters of March" (he actually wrote both an English and Portuguese version)
