Where do these girls come from? I've never seen anyone who looks remotely like this at any con I've been to (that wasn't paid to be there.)

A lot of cosplayers are actually models because they get to wear stuff they make at home and have some fun with fantasy properties - Ruby Rocket is one I can think of off the top of my head. My wife was a model and I have other family who have modeled. It's not a matter of "hot models over here and gross anime gothappotami over here and n'er shall the two cross."
