 Re: Swords
One of my personal favorites. Though I wish I could find it in something other than the shiny bleh it comes in. And because I just want to see someone use the stinger in a fight. And Cthulhu on the crossguard makes everything better!

 Re: Swords
If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that's Damascus steel, not stainless.

 Re: Swords
You can make the Damascus pattern on non-Damascus steel, and unless you paid an absurd amount of money, I'd guarentee it's designed stainless, rather than true Damascus steel. Reference the Pattern Welding section.

 Re: Swords
The sword if I'm not mistaken is acid etched stainless. I know it is not Damascus for a number of reasons but with a price of only $112 I can almost guarantee that is not Damascus steel.

I'm not 'calling you out' or something, I'm just making sure it's clear this is a designer sword, not an actual artifact - as actual Damascus steel would be. It is really cool though! I bought a $50 claymore at GenCon last year; it's pretty bad condition but it's fun for threatening my father with, so it's not the worst thing I spent money on at GenCon. I may get a better sword this year, but I haven't decided yet. I know for a fact I will be spending much less time in the dealer room this year, or if I match the amount I did last year, I will be spreading the time out more.

Yeah, Wikipedia's a microcosm of society; there's always someone behind you who would rather take you down a peg than actually contribute, haha. I'd much rather read the existing sources, rather than the article, but it sums it up adequately enough.
