 Re: Ray Bradbury
I finally got around to Fahrenheit 451, which I probably should have read before the guy died reminding me I wanted to read it. I quite enjoyed it.

 Re: Ray Bradbury
Wanna know how I heard? A girl in the student lounge was on her laptop and said "So whose this Ray Bradbury guy everyone's been talking about?" I just about jumped off a bridge right there.

I just about jumped off a bridge right there. Only a certain number of current classics can really survive, and only the best from the period warrant being known by just about everybody. Bradbury has written good stories, but he isn't among the best - there are a whole host of authors from his century that better deserve being well known in this one.

 Re: Ray Bradbury
To my credit, I would have been very surprised if this particular individual had heard of Faulkner or Hemingway either, and if she had, it would only have been in passing.
