Leoff"s Recipe for Cough Syrup (also good in tea)

1 part melted honey
1 part lemon juice
a shake of nutmeg or cloves
Pour a teaspoon of this at the back of the throat. Say "Smooth!"

Yeah, except for the nutmeg/cloves, I do that in tea when I'm sick. Unfortunately, right now it's looking like Mal has bronchitis...

I won't be there, so Stack's train of thought is safe from derailment.

So I going to miss this and the next one it's looking like. But I think that should be the last one I miss till the end of the summer.

I just got around to sharing my stuff. I apologize for both the lateness and the epic length of one of the posts I shared... :problem:

Big tip of the hat for the lively discussion and the late night game of virtual Three-Dragon Ante. Good times, even if Aaron Stack and SilverseraphAE stomped me into the dirt. :-)

Very slowly the sickness is starting to go away...though I did have some fascinating sick dreams last night. Take that how you will; it's probably correct no matter how you interpret that.

I believe SilverSeraph recorded the last meeting for me.

Next meeting!

When: June 16, 7:00 Eastern, 6:00 Central, 5:00 Mountain, 4:00 Pacific

Discussion Topic: Narrator voice. The narrator is a character. What are some interesting ways to use this to your advantage? How much attention needs to be paid here?

Submissions:
JediSoth
Leoff
Jahaili

Writing Prompt: You get a message. It is obviously for you, but it is scrawled in lipstick on a mirror in a public restroom.

And because I can, I scheduled all of June:

When: June 30, 7:00 Eastern, 6:00 Central, 5:00 Mountain, 4:00 Pacific

Discussion Topic:
Hiding plot from your reader. When a character knows something, but you don't show it to the reader are you cheating them? Is there a non frustrating way to do this?

Submissions:
Zircher
SilverSeraph (we'll go over the Oz War stuff you sent us last time, but maybe you could give us another scene or two in addition? :D )
Saragon

Writing Prompt:
Your parents have thrown you a surprise birthday dinner and have invited your two favorite fictional characters (can be literary, television, movie, etc.). There’s only one problem: Turns out, the characters don’t get along.
