Re: Fear the Boot Writer's Guild
It's summer vacation for me, so I have gotten some good writing time in.

Re: Fear the Boot Writer's Guild
Tonight at 8:00pm PST, Patrick Rothfuss (author of The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear) will start a monthly G+ Hangout livestreamed show, "The Story Board", which is all about writing and storytelling. (It's part of Geek & Sundry's series of Tuesday livestreams.) He'll have three awesome guests on this inaugural episode— Emma Bull, Diana Rowland, and Jim Butcher—and they'll be talking about Urban Fantasy. Full details and a link to the show can be found right here. If you can't make the livestream, the full show will be available on G&S's YouTube channel afterwards.

Re: Fear the Boot Writer's Guild
I was wondering guys... what is your best time for writing? I know I write best from 10 pm to around midnight. Which isn't the best time if I want to get some sleep

Which isn't the best time if I want to get some sleep I'm a very spontaneous 'discovery' writer, so unfortunately that usually means "whenever inspiration strikes". However my best time for focused, planned writing is generally mid-morning, after I've had breakfast.

Re: Fear the Boot Writer's Guild
About four cups of tea after I wake up, or right after a good walk. Then I can keep going for an hour or two, and then I have to get up and do something physical. But morning is the sweet time for me.

Re: Fear the Boot Writer's Guild
I'm trying to think...and honestly, I don't have a "best time" of the day. I set daily goals for myself, and then I work until I meet those goals. Some days are easier than others, but in general, I can just sit down and write.

Um, when I should be doing other stuff? Well, that's the way it seems to be for me. -- TAZ
