Re: Finally a good Punisher Movie
Why did this have to be fan created? Damnit. The only thing that the 3rd Punisher got right is it made him really mean and really violent. This short is the best render of the character so far.

I liked it, but still spent the 2nd half thinking "That is the toughest bottle of Jack ever made and what the hell was in it since it was obviously not 80 proof." I guess comic books and comic book movies are just not for me.

Thomas Jane is such a nerd. The fact that he ponied up the dough for a fan-film with Ron Pearlman as a jab in the ribs to Marvel Studios makes me say "kudos." Glass bottles are pretty tough to break unless they hit an edge or a really hard surface, like concrete. Then again I've never been hit over the head with one so I can't say for certain. But, yeah, that Jack must have been made with gasoline. Except that gasoline would have evaporated during the long dramatic pause.

And Having worked in the Coors brewery--in the bottling area--I've witnessed plenty of beer bottles fall from 5 feet onto a hard concrete floor unscathed--but only when they are unopened. Though to be sure, I've also seen similar circumstances where those bottles would "pop" from a shorter fall. Movie bottle or glass in general has always irritated me. Bottles, or pint glasses (ignoring the broken glass factor) can do SERIOUS damage before breaking--again, especially when they're full. As for flammability, uh . . . yeah, perhaps a bit excessive--but good for visuals.

Finally watched it. Great short, but I would not want to watch 90 minutes of that.
