Finally watched it.
Great short, but I would not want to watch 90 minutes of that.

Yeah, I agree, but 10 minutes was just fine.

:agree:

Thomas Jane is such a nerd. The fact that he ponied up the dough for a fan-film with Ron Pearlman as a jab in the ribs to Marvel Studios makes me say "kudos."

Glass bottles are pretty tough to break unless they hit an edge or a really hard surface, like concrete. Then again I've never been hit over the head with one so I can't say for certain.

But, yeah, that Jack must have been made with gasoline. Except that gasoline would have evaporated during the long dramatic pause.

Yeah, they would have broke. ;)

They started making bottles stronger to help prevent breakage due to accidental applications of superpowers, an occurrence that has been on the rise in recent years.

Personally I liked the Thomas Jane Punisher movie. This short left me wondering if it was supposed to be before he became Punisher or after. His not doing anything until the end made me think before, but having a shirt with what looked like a bullet hole made me think after. I just can't see it taking him that long to lash out.

I took the "6 months sober" comment to mean he tried to stop being The Punisher.

Ditto. Frank Castle doesn't use intoxicants.

It gains a lot when viewed from that perspective.

See... I think that most comics won't do well as full movies, but would be great as a mini series, or a collection of shorts like this. Super Heroes don't stand up well to reality, or deep reflection. This clip is AWESOME. I also wish they would do more. The Punisher was always best when he showed up for bit parts in other comics, either as a hero or a villain.
