 Snow White & the Huntsman
Just thought it was unusual that this movie didn't have a thread. Very much in the fantasty vein, and very well done. Traditional story bits are woven in well to the narative, and the CGI, particularly with the fairy land, is seemless. Cinematography is brilliant as you can tell the shots were done outdoors. This is a great movie.

Re: Snow White & the Huntsman
The movie looks good but I'm holding off on seeing it as the trailers seem like they are showing way to much. I am wary when movies do that, seems like they don't have much 'good' to show so they are showing it all in the preview to get butts in seats.

Mrs Memo and Mighty Memo Jr saw it this weekend. They thought it was just ok.

Re: Snow White & the Huntsman
I think it looks interesting, but it will be shown at our home rather than us going to see it.

Too many scenes where the queen just sits there for dramatic purpose.

The movie was visually gorgeous, the queen's raven cloak was just plain awesome. The dwarves were fantastic - much more LotR than "whistle while you work" Disney dwarves. The puffer spore hallucination sequences were also very dark and creepy and cool. Overall, the wife and I really liked this movie and I wouldn't mind watching it again on cable or Netflix. A lot of people are complaining that Kristen Stewart 'ruined' the movie, but I don't buy that. Her performance was not as strong as the other actors but hehr character wasn't written that well either - another case of "the chosen one" and fate intervening to return the world to it's status quo. This annoys me, but it's not a complaint about her acting. There was a certain irony in having the fantastically beautiful and graceful Charlize Theron acting afraid that Kristen Stewart is 'fairer' ... but again, that's just how it was written. By the way, IMHO, the queen's character was the most interesting, the most proactive, and the most complex. The hero's, by comparison, were fairly simplistic. For what it's worth, Metacritic rated the movie 57.

Re: Snow White & the Huntsman
Kristen Stewart being bland and uninteresting *Gasp*
My favorite character in Snow White and LOOK THOR! was by far Charlize Theron who was playing in some other movie ware she was the main character that just somehow happened to cross paths with this movie. I cant wait to actually see that film
PS: Was it just my imagination or is the film seriously cut in some places?

Re: Snow White & the Huntsman
I thought the movie was okay. I admit there was lots of fodder for ideas to bring into a game and the queen was the most interesting character. The director even knew that, The movie ended like, what, five minutes after she died?. The movie was pretty and the plot was okay, a little slow in some places but still worth a watch.
