Post Re: the real meaning of the film toy story
I believe that reviews/deconstructions like this one are more of a reflection of what's on the mind of the critic than what's on the mind of the creators of the work being evaluated. I mean, it's possible to look at a story in so many different ways, depending on where your mindset is. I once read an online article that very convincingly argued that the movie Fight Club was about what happened to a grown up Calvin from Bill Watterson's classic comic strip, Calvin & Hobbes. I knew it was a load of rubbish when I read it, but it was very entertaining and did make me go back and re-watch the film.

Toy Story is ultimately about friendships, how old friends can become jealous when new friendships are formed, and how it can be best resolved by accepting the new person as a friend yourself.

I like it because you can take her statement at the end supports the Banky theory on women.
"All every woman really wants, be it mother, senator, nun, is some serious deep-dickin'"

I can behind any interpretation like that, even if it is seen through a dick-colored lens

EDIT: I agree with Doc, deconstructions speak more to the one engaging the analysis.

I love 'em tho anyways, because it creates a new way to enjoy an old favorite.

Okay, all the fun and games and talk of deconstructing films based on ideology and personal experience aside . . .
the OP is a satire, yes?

Unless you seriously believe John Lasseter is in the business of doing really subversive porn analogies, then yes, I think that's a safe conclusion to reach.

He doesn't ahve to believe that. He just has to believe that the woman in the OP's video believes that.
