Apparently, the name of the movie is only going to be "Ninja Turtles."
That's better than Intergalactic Alien Turtles of Undetermined Age Who Resemble Earth Ninjas.
Yeah, I stole that line.
No, it's Teenage Alien Invader Ninja Turtles. This changes the acronym, of course, from TMNT (four letters that still make The Werefrog happy when viewed in that order and all caps) to T.A.I.N.T.

What people are referring to when they say "selling out" is not, if they have any intelligence, "being successful." It's having no artistic integrity. It's selling your tacit approval because you care more about the pay check than about what things you're supposedly approving. It's using the Lorax to advertise SUV's. It's using a punk rock song at the RNC.
People misuse the phrase, but that's no reason to get all reactionary about it.
It's less misuse of the phrase and more the phrase being terrible. The applicable term is "bowdlerized" in the case of others' work, and in the case of one's own work there are numerous possibilities.

"Compromised" is the first one that comes to mind, but then again the second one is "Published."

Supposedly getting a DVD release soon.

That show was great. It had some real starpower for voice actors for a Saturday morning cartoon. James Avery, Michael Dorn, Dom Irrerra, Malcolm McDowell, and Jerry Doyle (of Babylon 5). These are all recognizable names from outside of animation. The humor was light and silly even if some of the subject matter was dark. I had a great time watching Captain Simian.
