Well that could be interesting but it could also very easily be a pile of shit, it has one thing going against it already. No Sigourney Weaver the trailer was fairly add but from the bit they do show the tech seems to have been better back in the day.

I just hope they dont ham it up with the CGI to much and it should be fine. I would love a Alien or Aliens style film lets just hope it isent like the other 2

Ridley Scott as been really adamant that this is not a prequel, but that it's a story set in the same universe and takes place before Alien. How is that functionally different from a prequel? I guess we'll see.

I believe it was in the Blade Runner director's commentary that Scott said Blade Runner and Alien are meant to be set in the same universe.

Alien 3 and Resurrection DID have Weaver and they were steaming piles. So as much as I like her, her presence (or lack thereof) is not a viable metric.
