Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic
Watching the episode "Fall Weather Friends", I have come to the conclusion that Rainbow Dash is a rules lawyer. She and Applejack are engaged in an athletic competition and Dash uses her wings. She gets called on it and she argues that her wings are part of her and says "Besides, you never said I couldn't use my wings." Also, this fanart is relevant. http://elosande.deviantart.com/art/Dungeons-and-Mares-189930472

Re: My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic
I'm just wrapping up watching episode five and I have to admit I'm enjoying the series. The creative team set out to accomplish making a show that great character development, compelling plot, and a Aesop like moral told in a manner that only enhances the story. Instead of forcing anything on the story, the moral is used in a way that is easily relatable to the audience and doesn't pull punches when it comes to how the characters react in a compelling manner. Through these conflicts we see the character grow and become deeper and well rounded. The best part is that the creative team manages to do all of this with ponies, succeeding in excellent story telling where many have failed.
