Post Re: Wreck-It Ralph
My first thought was "If Wes Anderson directed a kids film, this would be it."

Second thought was "'When did video games become so violent?' Really?"

Seems more of a love letter to video games and the passage of time rather than the human interplay actual Pixar films excel at.

But... it still looks like it could be fun.

Well, if you've been living in a Donkey Kong knockoff for 30 years, I'd imagine it would come as something of a surprise where games are now.

If he doesn't say "I'm gonna WRECK IT!" to the female lead, I'm going to mark this whole thing a wash.

Actually, if Wes Anderson directed a kids film, it'd be this:

Just sayin'. ;)

And if Felix DOES say "I can fix it!" to same female lead, I walk.

Exactly.

I guess it works within the logic of the film... even if Ralph is attending self-help seminars with Street Fighter villains who brutally punch their opponents. But from a writing standpoint it's also an extremely obvious comment to make.

Ha! True; forgot about that. And if Wes Anderson directed a kids video game-to-film adaptation it would be:

This is NOT a Pixar film in any manner. The writing and directing are purely Disney, just like Tangled. Pixar is NEVER credited in the trailer and the individuals credited with writing and directing have not worked in such capacity at Pixar. The Director is in fact Rich Moore who comes from the the first 3 years of Simpsons and the original Futurama.

As to my excitement, when I first saw this trailer I made a topic thread right here sent a Facebook link to a most of my friends! I am hopeful for something good, but I have been wrong before.
