Re: Ubisoft is dropping always on DRM We've heard this from them before. The Prince of Persia re-reboot was released without DRM, then when it was inevitably pirated, Ubisoft used that as an excuse to jack up the DRM to current legendary levels.

From what I understood, it sold rather poorly on PC. Said poor sales were then blamed on piracy, naturally ignoring the actual problem of the 2008 PoP game being crappy. It's also why the DLC wasn't released on PC. Re: Ubisoft is dropping always on DRM If you don't want it pirated, cloud host the game. Since everything is server side, nobody has access to the coding to pirate it.

Personally, I hate always-on DRM. Sometimes I just want to play offline. |
