This game has been described to me as Thief 2 banging Dark Messiah while Bioshock watches from a tree outside with binoculars.
Personally, that got my attention.
Then I was told it was being developed by Arkane Studios
That got me smiling. Oh, Mighty Boot Lord...

The game revolves around you being an assassin and focusses on offering many diferent paths towards your objectives, huge amounts of choice in how you carry out the assassination and reactivity to the various choises you've made. Also you can turn into rats.
No gameplay footage yet, but this articale and the below video have some nice description.

No word yet on wether or not there's a Mighty Boot.

What else does this game have going for it? Well it looks like it's going to have a pretty sweet artstyle.


Normally I adopt a firm wait-and-see-policy, but I'm interested. I loved Dark Messiah. Yeah, that game had some flaws, but the core of it's gameplay was giving the player lots of tools and setpieces to kill enemies in fun ways, which worked pretty well and Dishonored looks like it's being designed with that same core as the basis for gameplay.

Seriously, all my money, just take it.

You had me until the "you can turn into rats." Still, I will give it a look.
