Planetside 2 debuted their first mass combat during E3 this week! Looks amazing! Did anyone else play the first one?

I think people should get into this! It's an MMO, first person shooter. Like a mix between BF3 and Halo. This sequel is going to be free-to-play (and the developers have stressed that doesn't secretly mean pay-to-win for the ingame "upgrades").

There is an outfit from the my PS1 days being resurected for the beta and release. The Blackshields, we'll be Terran Republic, we've got a mumble and we've got about a dozzen returning PS1 vets and a couple of new faces.

Nice, I've tried to snag one of the beta keys from Twitter or their FB but to no avail. I entered one in 7 seconds after it was tweeted but it was already claimed! Sheesh!

I've never actually been in beta for a game. I signed up but does that usually mean I will be invited eventually or just that they may tap me? And do they have server selection for beta? If not I'll look for you! Are you under Jinx there?
