 Re: World of Tanks
I play it quiet a bit, i am still waiting for them to really fix the ranking and team up problems because there are some tank tiers that are just horrible to grind trough.
One HE: The big advantage of HE is that it will not bounce, but its Armor Pen. is usually quiet low so if you don't have enough damage to penetrate armor and hit bad spots what will uslay happen is you will light up his tank with damaged components all over the place. With a bit of luck maybe ignite his fuel witch is always fun. The KV is awesome with the biggest gun and HE just the reload... oh good gods the reload time

 Re: World of Tanks
I bought an SPG, went American this time. Very different and I kind of like it. 1st game I was in I couldn't hit shit and was getting a bit frustrated. The second game I was in the other team got jammed in a bottle neck and just sat there, stuck as I pounded the shit out of them. If I had a better SPG than the starter one I would have gotten a lot more kills with it. On a different map couple of tanks slipped through and were trying to eat the arty. I was able to ace both of them both of them acting like a tank destroyer.
I've been finding it pays to advance behind the rest of the tanks and provide a sort of mid rang arty support. Or go away from the flag and the bottle necks and hide off somewhere and be able to hit different parts of the map.
I got the derp gun for my Hetzer. Holy slow ass reload time Batman. It does derp the shit out of almost everything. I was reading some people saying I should load HE ammo into it and others saying that a patch nerfed the HE stuff while others are saying that it's still worth it after the nerf.

Can't help ya on the AP vs HE thing. As for Arty... the T57? 1st US arty, it shines in TD mode. You will find that your range will not always cover the whole map till later. Early on, pay attention to your range, use "X" to immobilize your tank so you don't accidentally move and ruin your aim, and watch out because low tiered games are like herding cats and folks will get through. Also kill the MiniMause tanks first. PzKpfwtf38F357bbq's are sick. I routinely get 8-10 kills in mine. Later on you will want to counter battery and watch out for CB. After tier 5ish, shoot and move till all the arty are gone on the other side.

 Re: World of Tanks
How do I CB? Do I have to wait for the scouts to spot them? I was reading the wiki is was saying something about watching the con trails of the enemy shells and track them back to their targets? See's a bit hard to me.

 Re: World of Tanks
Also, when I go into arty mode... TD?... it shows opens it at the furthest point my shells can reach. When there are targets in a different point of the map I have to scroll and scroll to get there. Any way to snap to a specific grid on the map?

Pretty much you watch likely areas for arty to use. Wooded areas near the spawn or in corners and watch for their shots. Go to a bit past where the tracer starts and boom. Keep an eye out for falling trees and stuff getting run over too. That shows up even if the tank doesn't. Scouts may spot them too so look around there if you see some but the scout gets killed before you can shoot. TD mode is just slang for using your arty in direct fire mode like a regular tank... Or Tank Destroyer.

I've got to record tonight. Do I have to have a premium account to get into a company battle or just to start one?

You should be able to join without it. I'm not sure if the 2 man free platoons are up yet. I have premium so I should be able to invite you. What tanks do you have now? I get tired of the tier 9/10s so I keep a few low tierdd tanks around but need to buy some mid tiered tanks.
