Re: In the Lady's Shadow 2.0 (IC)
Morlan will check the upper door for traps. If he doesn't find any he'll attempt to unlock it using his skill rather than a magic pick. He won't open the door yet, though.
After doing this he straightens up again and turns to survey the chamber.
"I'm relieved that we seem to have found another way, but it is a shame we could not get through that other door; the one that appears to drain the very life-force from people."
Morlan leans casually on Box and holds up one of his magic picks.
"If only we had some way of protecting one of us from the energy draining, they could use this to open the door."

Box eyes the pick curiously.
"I am immune to energy draining magic," he observes.

Re: In the Lady's Shadow 2.0 (IC)
"You are?" "Truly you are a never-ending source of wonder, Box." "Of course, we have no way of knowing if there is any further danger in opening that door, but if you are willing to take the risk we will not be far away and will do whatever we can to aid you." If Box consents they will all return to the round cave behind the metal door. Morlan will give Box the magic pick and tell him how to operate it. Then the rest will take cover while Box goes alone down the tunnel to try to open the dangerous door.

While standing back, Joshua will have his weapons drawn in case anything attacks 'Box.

Yul breaks his silence. "Since we have found a yet untouched portions of this complex, perhaps we should investigate if there is passage back to the surface from here. Do we have any magical means or otherwise to do so?"

"We'll do that just as soon as we've checked out this cave, Yul."

"I'm sure it'd have shown up on the map"

"Oh, yes the map." Yul is both impressed and confounded by the sheer number of tools and magics devices this party has."Is it possible there might be a device in Morlan's bag you've forgotten about that might help us?" Yul delivers his words dripping with sarcasm. "Perhaps a demon turner or something that will give us a warm meal and good night's rest?"

Morlan considers Yul's question, with no apparent sign that he has recognised the sarcasm. "Hmmm... I don't think so... but... just a moment..." Morlan takes Dunn aside and whispers to him out of earshot. "Dunn, you remember back when we got those scrolls, you know, the BIG scrolls, and I used mine to become stronger and Joshua used his to make us all resistant to possession and stuff... well, I've always wondered... did you use yours or have you still got it?"
