"Plus," he says with a nod towards the sand on the floor, "we have an area of moderate safety"

He hands over the Diminutive Potion, "let Yudumbox drink this," he says

When Dunn comes up (with Joshua's potion) and outlines his idea, Morlan considers it for... oh, seconds...

"Good plan, Dunn. Let's get everyone down the little hole away from the big nasty spider demon. Box, are you okay about being shrunk for a while? It'll allow you to stay with us. Getting out again might be interesting, but hopefully we'll find another route."

Morlan waves Nortis over.

"Nortis, I won't force you to come down with us. If you'd prefer to go back to camp and let them know what we've found so far you can do that instead. If you want to stay with us you are very welcome. One thing, though: do you know where the magic trap is that got you before?"

Sorry for my absence. Mel would have also tried to turn the undead if Joshua hadn't gotten to it first. Also, now that he's down here out of public view, he will keep his holy symbol out for easy access.

"Good plan, Dunn!" Mel waits for the others to hear what is going on with them.

Morlan encourages the others to descend the ladder down to the laboratory. He will be the last one down, unless Box refuses to drink the potion. If Box should stay up top Morlan will tell him:

"Box, do not believe what the bebilith tells you. It is an evil thing and it will lie to you to try to get you to go down into its trap. Do not approach it. If it comes up go back and find the other party, and tell Ark what has happened."

Of course, if Box comes down with us then this won't be necessary.

Nortis points toward the kitchen cellar entrance when asked about the trap.

"It was down that way; one of a bunch of mirrors in a strange chamber," he explains before departing for the camp.

Yudumbox happily drinks the potion and accompanies his friends.

You are in room A. The little circle in the upper left corner of that room is the shaft you came down through. The other two magical points on the map are in rooms G and I.

Once down, Morlan will set about examining the walls of the laboratory for secret doors, and will encourage Mel and Box to help him. Emfrid still has her Find Traps spell running, so I guess she'll check it over thoroughly.

While searching, Morlan will gather anything else that appears to be of value, making use of his appraisal ability to spot valuable things, if any.

Is it the door to B that is open?

"Any portals down here, Yudumbox?" Joshua asks

(I assume the stairs on this map are the same stairs the others went down?)

"Dont worry about secret doors," Joshua says tapping the map, "we've got it all here."

He looks at the map, thinking, and compares it to the Warp Sense map

"we need to get here," he says indicating the other sources of magic, "but let's see if this area would make a good base first."

I'd say not. Those stairs only went down 20 feet, due west of the shaft. assuming 20 feet per level the stairs on this map are another two floors below that one. This appears to be quite an extensive complex. It could take us a fair few days to get round it all.

Can we point Emfrid down towards room B to see if it's safe down there?
